Child-friendly Amalfi
Tuscany is one thing, but surely Italy’s priciest stretch of coast is out of reach? Nope.
Casale Villarena is a hotel that has been converted into family-friendly apartments, overlooking the craggy shore between Sorrento and Positano.
There’s a shared pool and a small play area for them, amazing views for you, and a pretty beach at the end of the road for all.
For days out, there are boat trips to Capri, visits to the local buffalo mozzarella farm, and Pompeii just up the coast (children love the grisly stuff, but good luck explaining the brothels).
