Country escapes from Verona

Valeggio sul Mincio

The most beautiful tulip bloom in Italy. An ancient village rich in history. A recipe, the "love knot", jealously guarded for centuries. These are wonders of a jewel in the Veronese area.

Set between the watercourse and the hills, Valeggio sul Mincio is a perfect place to find peace between walks in the countryside, rides on two wheels (the Mantua-Peschiera cycle path passes through here), picnics and sunsets over the river.

Valpolicella

Valpolicella. Its name says it all. Vallis Polis Cellae, that is, from the Latin, “valleys with many cellars”, to confirm that wine has a long and fortunate history in this land. Valpolicella watches over Verona, between the arched mountains of Lessinia and the breeze that rises lightly from Lake Garda.

There are eight municipalities: Negrar, Dolcè, Pescantina, Fumane, Sant’Ambrogio, Marano, San Pietro in Cariano and Sant’Anna d’Alfaedo.
