Choose the view and layout together

Superior and Deluxe

Rooms are individual: balconies, terraces and outlooks vary. A Superior can be a good starting point, while Deluxe options offer more space. We identify the actual room rather than promising every feature across a category.

Deluxe Prestige and Junior Suite

Deluxe Prestige rooms have a generous balcony facing Gran Paradiso. Junior Suites also offer a balcony or terrace with a mountain outlook. Consider these when time in the room and the view are central to your stay.

Suites

Chalets

Three separate chalets opposite the main building are arranged over two floors and have fireplaces. They suit guests who value more independence, provided internal stairs work for everyone travelling.

Dining can range from the hotel’s more formal restaurant experience to regional dishes at Bar à Fromage or a meal in Cogne. Restaurant openings and bookings shape the plan, especially outside the main summer weeks. We leave room for a long lunch or a relaxed afternoon rather than treating the hotel as somewhere simply to sleep.

A village base after the road journey

Cogne has no railway station. We plan the rail or flight arrival and the onward road transfer as separate stages, with enough time for a comfortable journey.

Once settled, the village setting makes a car-free stay realistic for guests happy to concentrate on the Cogne valley. Walks from the village, suitable seasonal local transport and arranged transfers can be combined; we check the services for your dates and chosen trailheads.

A car is more useful if you want to explore widely across the Aosta Valley. It is not essential simply because this is a mountain holiday.

Lake Orta offers a gentler lakeside contrast, while Milan can add art and city life at one end of the journey.

A week in Cogne allows walking and rest days. For 10–14 nights, we usually start with the mountains and one lake or city stay; a third stop needs enough time to justify another move.
