Location

Lacco Ameno, one of Ischia’s prettiest towns, is a 15-minute walk from the Resort although a courtesy shuttle service is available. The town has an attractive marina, populated by everything from small fishing boats to mega yachts, and a good choice of shops, bars and harbour-side restaurants.

The best beach in the area is San Montano which is just 350m from the hotel via a private footpath. The bay is overlooked by the Negombo Thermal Gardens, a superb thermal water park, with twelve different pools of varying temperatures and natural saunas hewn out of the rocks.

Also within walking distance are the gorgeous La Mortella Gardens, first established in 1956 by the late Lady Susana Walton (wife of British composer, Sir William Walton) and comprising a series of magnificent sub-tropical and Mediterranean gardens and pavilions. Concert programmes and youth orchestra festivals take place in the garden’s Greek Theatre at regular intervals throughout the year.
