One home for everyone
Villa Rata has one principal kitchen, dining room and living area. It works best for families or friends who know one another well and want a genuinely shared holiday rather than separate accommodation within the same property.
Scicli countryside · South-East Sicily
A private four-bedroom countryside villa with a large pool, tennis court and wellness area, well placed for Scicli, the Baroque towns and the south-eastern coast.
Sleeps 8 · 4 bedrooms · 5 bathrooms · Private pool · Tennis court · Wellness area

Private villa near Scicli
Villa Rata works particularly well for two families travelling together or a multigenerational family wanting a settled base in South-East Sicily. The large swimming pool, tennis court, wellness area and extensive grounds give guests genuine reasons to spend time at the villa rather than treating it simply as somewhere to sleep.
The setting balances privacy with practical access to Scicli, the coast and the Baroque towns. Families can alternate villa days with Donnalucata or Sampieri, shorter visits to Scicli and Modica, and fuller days around Ragusa Ibla, Noto or Siracusa.
This is one shared home rather than two independent apartments. Its best audience is therefore a family or group comfortable sharing the kitchen, dining and principal living spaces.
Two families travelling together; multigenerational families; four couples; families with older children or teenagers; and active families combining villa time, beaches and sightseeing.
Planning your stay
Villa Rata has one principal kitchen, dining room and living area. It works best for families or friends who know one another well and want a genuinely shared holiday rather than separate accommodation within the same property.
All four bedrooms have double beds. There are no confirmed twin rooms, so the villa is most straightforward for couples, families with children comfortable sharing doubles, or groups not requiring several separate beds.
Two cars are worth considering when two families travel together, allowing different generations to follow separate plans without everyone leaving the villa at the same time.
The pool has a stated uniform depth of 1.5 metres, and no pool fencing is mentioned. The villa can accommodate young children, with cots and highchairs available, but close pool supervision is essential.
Bedrooms and sleeping arrangements
Ground-floor king bedroom200 × 200 cm king bed · Shower room · Ground floor
The largest bed in the villa and the most practical allocation for grandparents, the principal couple or guests wishing to minimise their use of stairs. It is on the same level as the principal kitchen, dining and living areas.
First-floor terrace bedroom160 × 190 cm double bed · Shower room · Private terrace
A double bedroom on the first floor with its own shower room and terrace. The small sitting room and bar area on this level gives its occupants an additional space away from the main ground-floor living room.

Two 160 × 190 cm double beds · Two bathrooms with baths · Second floor
Two separate double bedrooms occupy the upper floor, each with its own bathroom containing a bath. These rooms work naturally for parents, adult children, older teenagers or two further couples.
Life at Villa Rata
Pool and gardensThe 12 × 6-metre private pool and extensive grounds are central to the stay. The pool has a stated depth of 1.5 metres and normally operates from April until the end of October.
Tennis and outdoor activityThe synthetic-surface court can be used for tennis and five-a-side football. Together with the pool and gardens, it gives active children and adults something to do without organising a separate excursion.
Private wellness areaThe sauna, steam room, heated whirlpool and multi-sensory shower are private to villa guests and particularly useful for multigenerational groups following different daily rhythms.
Shared living and diningThe villa has one principal kitchen, dining area and living room, with a smaller sitting room and bar upstairs. Outdoor terraces, a barbecue and dining furniture support relaxed meals at home, with a cook and grocery-shopping service available on request.
Scicli and the Baroque south-east
Villa Rata sits in the countryside on the edge of Scicli, with shops and restaurants listed approximately two kilometres away. Donnalucata’s sandy beach is approximately seven kilometres away, while Sampieri, Modica, Ragusa Ibla and the wider south-east can all be explored by car.
This is a particularly useful base for families who want one settled week rather than moving between several short stays. Scicli and Modica suit shorter outings, Donnalucata and Sampieri provide straightforward beach days, and Ragusa Ibla, Noto or Siracusa can be planned as fuller excursions.
A car is essential. Comiso is the nearest listed airport at approximately 50 kilometres, while Catania Airport is approximately 130 kilometres away.
