Pozzuoli

This town is a well-kept secret of the Bay of Naples, with only holidaymakers in the know benefiting from its perks. With ancient Roman ruins scattered throughout, Pozzuoli is a delightful destination for couples seeking out ancient Italian charm, with a good dose of spa time.

Thanks to the unique volcanic area it rests on, the Phlegrean Fields, Pozzuoli is a marvel of thermal springs, mineral-rich waters and natural saunas.

Day trips to Naples are a simple affair; with the Cumana railway taking you directly between city centres, Neapolitan pastries and pizzas are just a 20-min dream’ away.

Our accommodation in Pozzuoli is the attractive Villa Avellino, whose loft-style apartments come with fully equipped kitchens, Italian marble bathrooms, living areas and the choice of balcony or terrace. The hotel's garden boasts a solarium and splendid views of the Gulf of Baia.

Sant'Agata sui due Golfi

The name translates as '' Sant'Agata on the two gulfs'' as it stands above the Sorrento Peninsula between Sorrento and Positano. Sant'Agata is famous for its view, food and panoramic trails, you can walk down to Sorrento in about 40 minutes. This is a great base to explore, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and everything in between can be reached with direct scenic bus journeys. Not only sightseeing but also farm visits, kayaking and ice-cream classes.

Stay at the  Relais Oasi Olimpia, a luxury boutique hotel offering a magnificent two-bay view and 20,000 sqm of Mediterranean gardens, with a pool and a tennis court. It's also just a few steps away from the town’s restaurants and amenities.

Cilento Park

The UNESCO-listed National Park of Cilento is a splendid blend of lush woods, blooming meadows, villages, rivers and waterfalls, all connected by a strong cultural heritage. Ancient charm abounds at Paestum with some of the world’s best preserved Greek temples, trekking cannot be more inviting than in the enthralling Valley of Orchids, and villages provide the most authentic taste of Italian rural life.

Set in a part of Italy that is relatively untouched by tourism, the 11-room Hotel Marulivo offers warm hospitality in the centre of Pisciotta.

The dramatic mountains, vineyards, olive groves and dense forests of the Cilento National Park are on the doorstep and a coastline fringed by white sandy Blue Flag beaches interspersed with tiny bays and hidden coves are just minutes away.
