Combine the Masseria Susafa with other locations in a multi-centre holiday
It was once a farm. Now the Masseria Susafa, near the Madonie Park, is a sophisticated retreat that preserves the memory of rural culture.
Here you can explore the organic vegetable garden, orchard and olive grove, and then prepare dishes with the chefs. Or you can prepare your own personalized herbal tea by collecting aromatic herbs.
Let yourself be lulled by the slow rhythms in the ancient palm grove, which now houses the wine bar, in the Mediterranean garden with the swimming pool and on the spacious terrace with views of the surrounding countryside.
Simple but tastefully furnished rooms in which rural life inspires every detail, creating a warm and restful atmosphere.
All rooms are on the ground floor, opening into the garden. Classic and Superior are 21 and 24 sqm and have a Queen-size double bed. Double Deluxe Loft allows for two children up to 12 to sleep in a sofabed. The Suites are between 45 and 70sqm. The Deluxe Suite has a private spa area with sauna, emotional shower, Jacuzzi with neck massage and private garden.
Medicinal herbs and wheat are grown in the fields and gardens of the farm. The latter is used for pasta, desserts and bread which are strictly home-made here.
Most of the ingredients, including olive oil, come from the estate, what is not produce on site, comes from nearby.
Whether it's a salted ricotta, a mozzarella, apricots or artichokes, everything bears the Sicilian signature.
Every morning, the Susafa organises a guided tour of its herbal gardens highlighting benefits and how to use. During the afternoon, there are tastings of cheeses, wine, and cooking classes of pasta, pizza or focaccia bread.
In June we highlight the cherry harvest with a walk in the orchard, the picnic under the trees with a panoramic view of the estate, the pastry course and the preparation of delicious cherry jam together with the local ladies.
