Swim with views of Capo Passero island, linger over lunch on the terrace and explore Sicily’s southern beaches. Villa Tassi brings together a contemporary five-bedroom house and annexe for up to ten, with a private saltwater pool on the edge of Portopalo.
Our view
The sea fills the view at Villa Tassi, from the pool terrace to the horizon around Capo Passero island. Built in white Ispica stone, the contemporary villa sits within a larger coastal estate, with its own pool, terraces and separate annexe apartment.
Start with breakfast outside, spend a morning by the saltwater pool and head into Portopalo for lunch. The terraces have sun loungers, outdoor seating and space to enjoy the changing light over the water.
The main house has three upstairs double bedrooms; the ground-floor annexe adds a double and a bunk-bed room, with its own entrance and living space. Families can gather for meals while enjoying a little independence. A six-person option uses the main house without the annexe.
Planning your stay
The nearest access to the sea is about 300 metres away, with a sandy beach at 800 metres. A delicatessen and restaurant are around 300 metres away; Portopalo’s shops and restaurants are approximately 600 metres from the villa.
Three doubles upstairs in the main house, plus a double and bunk-bed room in the ground-floor annexe, sleep up to ten. The annexe has its own kitchen and living area. A smaller six-person booking excludes the annexe.
The pool measures 8 × 4 metres, is 1.20 metres deep throughout and is open from 1 March to 30 November.
Stays start from five nights, with longer minimums on some dates. A €500 cash security deposit is payable on arrival. Small pets are welcome by arrangement; we will confirm the terms for your stay.
Sleeping arrangements
The main house has a living/dining room, open kitchen and guest bathroom downstairs. Upstairs are three doubles: one has an en-suite shower room and the other two share a shower room. The annexe has a double, a room with bunk beds, a shower room and its own kitchen/living area, all on the ground floor.
Air conditioning and heat-pump heating are provided throughout, with Wi-Fi and mosquito nets. The weekly electricity allowance is 300 kWh; extra use is payable locally.
Pool, grounds & facilities
Enjoy the 8 × 4 metre saltwater pool from 1 March to 30 November. It is 1.20 metres deep throughout, with loungers and open sea views around the terrace.
The broad terraces bring everyone together for outdoor meals and drinks, with native planting around the house and views across to Capo Passero island. The nearest route into the sea is around 300 metres away.
The main house’s kitchen opens onto the living and dining area, while the annexe has a separate kitchen/living room. A gas hob, two electric ovens, dishwasher, two fridges and a barbecue make self-catering straightforward.
Weekly kitchen, bedroom and bathroom cleaning, weekly bed linen, bath and pool towels, final cleaning and a welcome basket are included. There is private parking, a washing machine and a cot. A cook, transfers and boat outings can be arranged at extra cost.
