Best for
Couples and pool-loving families
Couples who want scenery and easy days at the hotel; families with school-age children who will enjoy the separate Fun Pool.
Portese · Lake Garda
Lake views from breakfast to aperitivo, separate spaces for swimming and long afternoons beside the water on Garda’s western shore.
The ExpertoItaly view
At Park Hotel Casimiro, the lake is part of the day: a view over breakfast, a swim before lunch and an aperitivo at the Panorama Bar. The setting at Portese suits a holiday with plenty of time at the hotel, punctuated by visits to Salò and the western shore.
This is a substantial four-star resort, managed by Blu Hotels, with 210 rooms across different buildings. Its appeal lies in the waterfront, pools and choice of facilities. Expect the atmosphere of a larger holiday hotel, with both couples and families using the shared spaces.
Room selection makes a real difference here. For couples, we would begin with a main-hotel Junior Suite for its lake view and balcony, or investigate Villa Bellavista for a smaller accommodation setting within the resort. Both give you a stronger reason to spend time in your room as well as by the water.

Planning your stay
Best for
Couples who want scenery and easy days at the hotel; families with school-age children who will enjoy the separate Fun Pool.
Atmosphere
Modernised public spaces, broad facilities and a choice of buildings. The hotel’s size is part of the experience.
Transport
A hire car makes inland visits and western-shore outings easier. A mainly hotel-based stay also works with arranged transfers.
Pace
Four to seven nights give you time to enjoy the pools, settle into the setting and fit in selected excursions.
Rooms and suites
A balcony, a frontal lake view and a separate sitting area are different benefits. We match the actual room to what matters most to you.

Photographs illustrate the hotel’s different interiors and outdoor spaces; layouts and furnishings vary by room.
Our room advice
The main-hotel Junior Suites offer the clearer balcony choice. Bellavista gives you a seven-suite villa setting with resort facilities to hand; request a balcony specifically if that is a priority.
Our first choice for couples
Lake views, a balcony, a shower bathroom and reserved parking make these a dependable starting point. Choose one when an outdoor place to sit is central to your stay.
A smaller accommodation setting
Seven renovated Junior Suites in a separate lakeside villa with its own garden. All have lake views; only some have balconies. Wellness access, reserved parking and garden loungers are listed benefits. You remain part of Casimiro, using the wider hotel’s dining and resort facilities.
For the view and added inclusions
A frontal lake view and balcony, with both bath and shower. Listed benefits include daily wellness access, Sky View Solarium access and private parking: a useful option if you expect to use those facilities regularly.
For more living space
More than 50 m² with two distinct areas and a direct lake outlook. The bathroom has a bath and shower. Wellness and Sky View access plus reserved parking are included in the published offering; this is our larger-space option for an indulgent stay.
Choose the specific room
Superior rooms vary in layout and outlook; some have a balcony or garden. Deluxe rooms offer a lateral or frontal lake view, but a balcony is not universal. We specify the view and outdoor space in your proposal.
Traditional rooms and another villa
Standard rooms have classic furnishings in an internally connected annexe. Separate Villa Nicoletta has six traditionally furnished rooms: the ground-floor Garden Suite has two areas and a porch; the first-floor Garda Suite has a lake-view terrace; upper-floor Junior Suites have sloping, beamed ceilings.
Life at Casimiro

Food and drink
Breakfast and half-board stays are available. Half board includes dinner in the main restaurant, with drinks charged separately. Limen offers à la carte dining, while the Panorama Bar serves lunchtime snacks and a place to enjoy the lake outlook.
By the water
The lakefront outdoor pool is adults-only; children can use the reception-side Fun Pool. Pool entry is included. Lakefront loungers require an in-hotel reservation and all poolside spaces are subject to availability. The equipped beach has a separate seasonal charge.
Time to relax
The spa’s indoor pool, saunas, steam room and whirlpool are for ages 16 and over, with a supplement unless included in your room. The adults-only Sky View Solarium has gazebos and a whirlpool, with seasonal reservations and charges. We set out your room’s inclusions in the quotation.

Location and logistics
The hotel is directly on the water at Portese, in San Felice del Benaco. The harbour setting offers a quieter rhythm than staying in the centre of a larger lake town. Salò is an outing for its waterfront, shops and cafés; Gardone Riviera adds gardens and the Vittoriale.
A boat trip is a natural way to enjoy the lake. Portese is a seasonal passenger-boat stop, so we check the departures and return options for your dates before building an excursion around it. The hotel works best with selected days out, leaving time to enjoy its own setting.
Desenzano del Garda is a useful rail arrival point, followed by a private road transfer. A car-free stay is practical when relaxation at the hotel is the priority, with transport arranged for excursions. A hire car gives more freedom for inland villages and western-shore visits.
Outdoor parking is free, subject to availability and not reservable; selected suites include reserved spaces. For guests who need to minimise walking or steps, we check the route between the allocated room, restaurant, pools and lakeshore, including any slopes. The different buildings make individual allocation important.
Hotel location
Where it fits
These are possible overnight combinations, separate from your local days out. For a 10–14-night holiday, we would normally choose one additional base.
Milan and Lake Garda. Begin with two or three nights in Milan for art, design and restaurants, then take the train to Desenzano and an arranged transfer to Casimiro. Collecting a hire car after Milan is another option if you want to explore during the lake stay.
Verona and Lake Garda. A stay in Verona adds Roman history, city walks and evenings in the historic centre. Continue by private road transfer or hire car; rail to Desenzano followed by a transfer also works. Keep the city stay car-free, then decide whether you need a car at the lake.
Alta Badia and Lake Garda. Spend the first part of a summer or early-autumn holiday in Alta Badia, with mountain walks, Ladin food and scenery, before driving south to Casimiro for a slower finish. This is a natural self-drive combination, with a dedicated transfer also possible and mountain services checked for your dates.
