#1 LA PIADINA, RAVENNA'S STREET FOOD - Lunch in Piazza del Popolo, seat of the Town Hall: aperitif in one of the bars in the square, and then lunch at the Piadineria in via IV Novembre. This is the area of the shopping and period houses. Walking is a convenient way to get to the most vibrant area of the city: the Basilica of San Vitale. Do not miss the "new" archaeological site of Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra.
#2 DINING - For dinner in via Mentana 33 there is the Melarancio. On the ground floor where the tavern offers good dishes and wine to the sound of music; in the restaurant on the first floor the dishes are refined. For lovers of wine and history there is a way to satisfy both passions at the Ca 'dè Ve'n Wine Bar. It is located on the ground floor of Palazzo Rasponi, a 15th-century palace fortress. First, it was a residence for several generations of the family Rasponi. It became an inn with the name "Osteria della Corona" in the 18th century, then a renowned grocery store (Drogheria Bellenghi) and eventually became a wine bar in 1975.
