A coastal villa chosen for easy family days

Villa Spuma’s strength is the balance between time at the villa and simple access to the coast. The 13 × 5 metre pool, broad terraces, covered dining area and garden make relaxed days easy, while a restaurant and Cornino’s shore are close enough to reach on foot.

The position below Mount Cofano also makes sense for a wider western Sicily journey. Erice, Trapani, San Vito Lo Capo and Segesta can all be reached by car, then the villa gives the holiday a slower pool-and-beach phase.

Best for: one family with older children or teenagers, or a couple who value outdoor space. It is not a natural choice for two families, three couples, anyone needing more than one bathroom, or guests expecting three conventional bedrooms and full air conditioning.

The principal planning decisions

One family or a couple

The arrangement suits one family with older children or teenagers, or a couple wanting more space. It is not a comfortable fit for two families or three couples who expect equal bedrooms and greater bathroom privacy.

Two doubles, plus a smaller room

There are two conventional double bedrooms. The fifth sleeping place is a sofa bed in a small separate room, so it should not be treated as an equivalent third bedroom.

One shared shower room

All guests use the same shower bathroom. The villa has two air-conditioning units, but their exact placement is not confirmed, so full bedroom-by-bedroom air conditioning should not be assumed.

A deep pool and clear conditions

The pool is 1.40–2.50 metres deep with no shallow section. A €500 cash deposit applies, electricity is included up to 250 kWh per week, and a car is useful for groceries and exploring beyond Cornino.

The villa’s principal sleeping accommodation is two double bedrooms. This works naturally for parents and older children, or for a couple who want a spare room, but it does not create three equivalent adult bedrooms.

The third sleeping room contains a sofa bed and is best understood as an additional child’s or teenager’s room. Everyone shares one shower bathroom, which is an important consideration before booking.

Below Mount Cofano, close to Cornino’s shore

Villa Spuma sits near Cornino in the Custonaci area of western Sicily. The rocky shoreline is approximately 600 metres away, a sandy beach approximately 700 metres away and a restaurant around 200 metres from the villa, so the immediate coastal setting can be enjoyed without driving every time.

A car remains valuable for groceries and wider exploration. Erice and Trapani bring hill-town atmosphere, old streets and salt-pan landscapes; San Vito Lo Capo adds a longer sandy beach and access towards Zingaro; and Segesta can add an archaeological day to a broader western Sicily route.
