Villa Stella’s defining feature is its elevated view across the countryside to Scicli. The terraces and infinity pool face the town, creating a setting that feels private without placing guests too far from the baroque south-east or the coast.
The four bedrooms are unusually equal for a villa of this size: each is a double with an en-suite shower room and its own exterior entrance. Three are in the main building and the fourth occupies a detached wooden annex. This works especially well for four couples, adult families and groups of friends, although the separated arrangement is less convenient for parents who need young children close by.
Best for: four couples, adult multigenerational families, or two families with older children who want private bedroom suites, a substantial pool and wellness facilities.
Worth knowing before you book
Three double bedrooms are in the main building and one is in a detached wooden annex, but none connects internally to another room. The privacy suits adults; families with young children should consider the arrangement carefully.
The 12 × 6 metre saltwater infinity pool ranges from 1.20 to 2.20 metres deep. It is a major strength for confident swimmers, but families should not assume a shallow children’s area or protective gate.
Scicli’s shops and restaurants are approximately 3 kilometres away and Donnalucata’s sandy beach is 9 kilometres away. This is a private touring base rather than a villa for walking into town.
The weekly 200 kWh allowance covers air conditioning, heating and the heated whirlpool; excess usage is charged locally at €0.40 per kWh. The villa has disabled access and an accessible bathroom.

Main building · 3 rooms
The three main-building bedrooms are on the ground floor. Each has a double bed, an en-suite shower room and its own entrance from outside; no twin-bed conversion is confirmed.
Detached annex · 1 room
The fourth double bedroom occupies a close but detached wooden annex with an en-suite shower room. It gives one couple particular independence while remaining within the villa grounds.
Time at the villa
Villa Stella is more than a base for touring. The panoramic pool, wellness area and different indoor and outdoor living spaces make slower days part of the reason to choose it.
The private saltwater pool measures 12 × 6 metres and is open throughout the year. Its outlook over Scicli is the villa’s strongest visual and emotional selling point.
The lower floor contains a heated whirlpool, sauna and separate shower room. The whirlpool is maintained at 28°C, subject to the villa’s weekly electricity allowance.
The modern kitchen includes a five-burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, Nespresso machine and the practical equipment needed for eight guests.
Terraces, a gazebo, barbecue and several seating areas allow the group to eat together or separate naturally during the day, with the countryside and Scicli always close to view.

Villa Stella sits in the countryside above Scicli, looking across the town and the limestone landscape that surrounds it. Scicli is close enough for purposeful visits, shopping and dinner, yet the villa’s elevated setting preserves the sense of space and privacy that defines the stay.
This location works best for travellers who want to explore independently. Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Donnalucata and Sampieri can all be combined naturally across a week, while the villa’s pool and spa make it sensible to leave several days deliberately unplanned.
Scicli fills the middle distance, with the baroque south-east and coast explored by car.
From the villa
A week at Villa Stella should not become a daily sequence of long drives. These four outings reveal the area while leaving proper time for the pool, terraces and spa.
Scicli
Scicli is only 3 kilometres away, so there is no need to compress it into one formal visit. Go in for a first orientation, return for dinner and allow its churches, palazzi and lanes to become familiar across the week.
Modica
Modica rewards time for its stairways, churches and chocolate tradition. Plan a focused half-day rather than adding Ragusa to the same outing, then return to the villa before the late afternoon.
Ragusa Ibla
At approximately 30 kilometres, Ragusa Ibla works well once the strongest heat has eased. Walk from the Giardino Ibleo through the historic centre and remain for dinner instead of turning the day into a multi-town checklist.
Donnalucata and Sampieri
Donnalucata offers the nearer sandy beach, while Sampieri gives a more open stretch of coast and a different village atmosphere. Select one according to the weather and the group rather than trying to cover both quickly.
