A comfortable base for giving Vicenza proper attention

The Glam’s strongest asset is its position near Teatro Olimpico and Palazzo Chiericati. You can explore a museum, pause for lunch, return to your room and head out again for dinner without organising transport each time.

Art, books, distinctive lighting and individually styled interiors give the hotel personality. The daytime Lounge is a useful place to sit between outings; the city provides the restaurants, architecture and evening life.

We would normally include two or three nights here within a longer Northern Italy holiday. For couples, a Deluxe room is our starting point. Choose a Suite when a living area and more room to relax will make a difference.

Our room advice

Deluxe for a short stay; a Suite for extra comfort

Deluxe rooms remain relatively compact. If you want to read, sit together or spend longer in the room, the larger Suite category provides the more substantial improvement. We confirm the individual layout and bed arrangement; a separate enclosed sitting room or a particular view should not be assumed.

Our starting point for couples

Deluxe · 19–22 m²

A king-size double bed and a more spacious shower, with a little more room than the lower categories. A sensible choice for two or three nights spent mainly exploring.

For a living area

Suite · 30–35 m²

The best choice when indoor space matters. Suites include a living area and a king-size double bed; we check the arrangement of the chosen suite, including any request for communicating accommodation.

For a compact double

Superior · approximately 16–17 m²

A king-size double bed in a compact room. Consider it for a short stay when the price difference is useful and you expect to spend most of the day out.

For the smallest room

Standard · approximately 15–16 m²

A compact option with a queen-size bed, worth considering for a solo traveller. We check occupancy and the specific room before including it in your holiday.

Published sizes are indicative and individual rooms differ. The hotel’s category pages are not entirely consistent about the smaller rooms’ dimensions, so we confirm the allocation when space is important.

Breakfast works a little differently here

The Lounge is available daily from 06:00 to 18:00, with coffee, pastries, fresh and dried fruit, yoghurt and other refreshments. This is the hotel’s breakfast and daytime refreshment arrangement; there is no separate traditional breakfast buffet.

We arrange your stay with Lounge access included. Made-to-order dishes, such as eggs, carry an additional charge. The long opening hours suit an early start, a slower morning or a break between visits.

Somewhere to pause

Use the Lounge for a drink, reading or a little work between outings. Wi-Fi and an available laundry service are practical advantages during a longer tour.

Vicenza’s restaurants on foot

The central location makes eating out straightforward. The hotel also works with nearby Julien restaurant, where dinner can be requested Monday to Saturday; this is a separate restaurant, not an on-site dining room.

Culture beyond the front door

Build the stay around the city, its museums and the villas nearby. Choose a different base for the swimming, garden or spa days you would like elsewhere in the holiday.

Location and logistics

Palladio, museums and evenings on foot

The hotel is at Viale Antonio Giuriolo 10, beside the Piazza Matteotti area. Teatro Olimpico and Palazzo Chiericati are close by, with Piazza dei Signori and the Basilica Palladiana a short walk through the centre.

Allow a separate outing for Villa La Rotonda and Villa Valmarana ai Nani. We plan the visits around opening days and your preferred pace, with a driver or guide where useful.

Arrive by rail; arrange the final transfer

The hotel quotes around five minutes by taxi from Vicenza station. A station transfer is worthwhile with luggage. A car is unnecessary for the historic centre; it becomes useful when you continue into the countryside.

Drivers should arrange parking in advance. The hotel currently offers a €15 daily permit for nearby municipal blue-line spaces, subject to availability; this does not reserve a space. Park Matteotti is another nearby option. We confirm the current arrangements before arrival.

Give each base enough time

For seven nights, we generally favour one well-chosen base. With ten to fourteen nights, two bases usually work best: for example, three nights in Vicenza followed by a longer Lake Garda stay. A third stop earns its place only when the route and total time justify it.
