Breakfast overlooking the water, a spa treatment and dinner at the hotel make a leisurely day feel complete. Add a visit to Pompeii or a day exploring the peninsula, with plenty of time between outings to enjoy the shore.

We particularly recommend it for couples who want sea views, excellent dining and a few days to relax. The hotel is outside the centre of Vico Equense, with a shuttle or taxi for trips into town. Sea access is from the rocks; there is no sandy beach.

We recommend: four or five nights after a few days in Naples, with a sea-facing terrace to make the most of the setting.

Location and getting around

On the shore below Vico Equense

Capo La Gala stands on Via Luigi Serio at the entrance to the Sorrento Peninsula. Its terraces sit close to the water, away from the town centre. Use the hotel shuttle or a taxi for restaurants, shopping and an evening in Vico Equense.

From Vico Equense station, the EAV railway connects with Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. Take the hotel shuttle or a taxi to the station; we can help you plan an outing and the return journey.

We arrange private transfers for arrival, departure and changes of hotel. If you are continuing on a self-drive holiday, the hotel has private parking.

A day with a private driver makes the Amalfi Coast easy to explore at your own pace. Seasonal boat trips and ferry services offer another way to see the peninsula; we can include suitable departures in your holiday plan.
