Four proper double suites
All four bedrooms are doubles and each has an en-suite bathroom. The rooming therefore works unusually well for four adult couples as well as a larger family or multigenerational group.
Private countryside villa near Mount Etna
A panoramic four-bedroom villa for families or friends who want unhurried days beside a large infinity pool and a practical base for Etna’s northern slopes, the Alcantara Valley and Taormina.
ExpertoItaly opinion
Etna Chic combines four proper double bedrooms with an unusually open setting above the Alcantara Valley. Views extend across the surrounding vineyards and lava landscape towards Mount Etna and the Nebrodi, giving the villa a strong sense of space without placing it beyond reach of the area’s towns and days out.
The large saltwater infinity pool and furnished garden make slower days at home the point rather than a compromise. When guests want to explore, Randazzo, Castiglione di Sicilia, the Alcantara Gorge, Etna’s northern wine country and the Ionian coast can all be planned by car.
Best for: one larger family, parents travelling with grandparents, or up to four adult couples who value private bathrooms, scenery and relaxed outdoor living. It is not the right choice for guests who want to walk to restaurants, shops or the beach.

The elevated estate opens across vineyards and the Alcantara landscape.

The infinity pool gives villa days a clear focus from morning to evening.
Before you choose it
All four bedrooms are doubles and each has an en-suite bathroom. The rooming therefore works unusually well for four adult couples as well as a larger family or multigenerational group.
The accommodation occupies the restored main house within a broader country estate. Choose it for landscape, quiet and generous shared space rather than the atmosphere of a walkable village or coastal resort.
The nearest restaurant is approximately 2 km away, the delicatessen at Passopisciaro is about 3 km and Randazzo’s shops and services are around 8 km away. Private transport is needed throughout the stay.
The saltwater pool measures 15 × 5 metres and ranges from 0.60 to 1.50 metres deep. It is open from April to October; no pool fencing is confirmed, so children and uncertain swimmers require close supervision.
Bedrooms and bathrooms

Four double bedrooms
Etna Chic sleeps eight in four proper double bedrooms. This makes the villa a stronger choice than many four-bedroom properties when the party includes several adult couples rather than children using twin or occasional beds.

Five bathrooms
Each double bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, with a fifth bathroom available for communal use. Air conditioning and heating throughout the house support stays in both summer and the cooler Etna seasons.
Time at the villa
Etna Chic works best when the pool, garden and generous living spaces are treated as part of the holiday rather than only a base between excursions.

The private 15 × 5 metre saltwater pool sits within a landscaped lawn, with broad views across the valley and a depth ranging from 0.60 to 1.50 metres.

Furnished garden areas, sun loungers and an outdoor shower support long days outside, with different places for reading, talking or taking in the changing light.

The well-equipped kitchen is designed for practical self-catering, with a five-burner hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and several coffee-making options.

A spacious living room gives a full party room to gather indoors, while the traditional furnishings and retained architectural details keep the house informal rather than showy.

A second lounge area gives a group more than one indoor place to relax, useful when different generations or several couples are sharing the house.

Original features sit alongside updated fittings and everyday comforts, creating a practical country house rather than a formal hotel-style interior.
Villa amenities

Location
Etna Chic lies in the countryside near Castiglione di Sicilia, on the northern side of Mount Etna. Passopisciaro, Randazzo and the surrounding vineyards make this a strong base for the volcano’s quieter wine country as well as the historic villages shaped by lava and agriculture.
The Alcantara Gorge is approximately 15 km away, while the sandy coast at Fiumefreddo is about 25 km. Taormina and Giardini Naxos require a more deliberate outing, so the villa works best for guests who want a rural Etna stay with selected coastal days rather than daily access to a resort.

A rural position for exploring Etna’s northern slopes and the Alcantara Valley by car.
From the villa
Etna Chic is at its best when villa days are balanced with a small number of purposeful outings. These choices use the villa’s position without turning the week into a sequence of long drives.
Volcano and wine
The northern slopes suit wine estates, lava landscapes and a quieter approach to Mount Etna. Decide whether the day is primarily geological, active or food and wine led rather than fitting every possibility into one excursion.
Active nature
The gorge can be a scenic visit or a more active river experience. Water confidence, conditions and the exact booked activity matter, particularly when children or teenagers are travelling.
Town and coast
Allow time for the Greek Theatre and Corso Umberto, then decide whether to add the coast. Summer timing and parking reward an early start or a later visit rather than an improvised drive into town.
Longer Sicily route
For a two-centre journey, pair a settled villa week here with Siracusa or the south-east coast. That contrast works better than repeatedly driving south from the villa for the Val di Noto.
