In the "Owl Park San Vigilio," you can admire more than 70 birds, including owls, owls and even the golden eagle.

It is a beautiful zoological arch with birds of prey in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park, which enhances a particularity of these areas: to give shelter to five of the seven species of Strigiformes surveyed in the area, and that we all commonly know as owls, owls and tawny owls. Observing Nature

Near the Fanes Refuge, along the old military road, one of the most powerful high-tech telescopes, the Swarovski Optik ST Vista, has recently been installed to observe the surrounding nature. It allows wildlife enthusiasts to participate in the wildlife sighting programme launched by the tourist office of San Vigilio di Marebbe.

Dolomites on two wheels

Road bikes and mountain bikes are so prevalent in San Vigilio di Marebbe and throughout the tourist area that they're the most used means of transport in summer.

Among the most beautiful itineraries are the trips to Pederü and Pliscia, as well as the splendid circular routes at Plan de Corones and on the Fanes plateau, which are also accessible to less trained cyclists with the help of e-bikes.

In addition to some of the most breathtaking hiking and trails in the Dolomites, San Vigilio also offers cyclists of all ages and levels the perfect training ground. Beginners, two-wheel acrobats, children, all will find their own testing ground here.

The training ground is located at the mountain station of the Piz de Plaies cable car and runs along the wooded slope of the Piz de Plaies. It is a trail with a view of the village of San Vigilio and all kinds of obstacles, natural or artificial, to test one's own technique.

Reach for new heights on the cable car

The cable car Pedagà - Piz de Plaies takes you from San Vigilio di Marebbe (1185 m) to Piz de Plaies (1650 m).

The lift overcomes a height difference of 435 m. The modern cabins offer enough space for 8 people and allow you to transport mountain bikes to explore the natural park of Fanes-Senes-Braies by bicycle.

When Architecture becomes Art

The Messner Mountain Museum Corones, or MMM, is located on the peaks with a sweeping view of the Alps in all four cardinal directions.

It is one of the most spectacular works of the modern era. The building, among other things, is a collaboration with the studio of one of the most famous and acclaimed architects of the last century, the late Zaha Hadid.

Action and adventure in San Vigilio di Marebbe

Do you know where the longest zip-line in Europe is located? Exactly! In San Vigilio di Marebbe. There are 15 stages, zigzagging from tree to tree, descending from Piz de Plaies to almost the main square of the city.
