A country apartment near southern Lake Garda followed by a family resort in San Vigilio di Marebbe gives this holiday two different rhythms. At Selva Capuzza, you have space and independence for lake outings and relaxed evenings. At Excelsior, mountain activities, hotel dining and family facilities make it easy to settle into the second week.

We plan around the ages of your children and what everyone enjoys. A short woodland walk, a boat outing and an afternoon at the pool can matter as much as a full day in the mountains.

Southern Lake Garda: seven nights at Selva Capuzza

Selva Capuzza is a wine-estate stay in the countryside, rather than a hotel on the lakeshore. Apartments let you balance eating out with simple meals at home, while the pool offers an easy option between excursions.

For a family wanting separate sleeping spaces, we can consider the connecting Podere room and Noce apartment. We confirm the precise combination, bed setup and access for your party. The room and apartment should not be described as two identical self-contained apartments.

Choose a few lake outings across the week: Sirmione, a boat trip, or a visit to Parco Giardino Sigurtà. Cycling is optional and the route should suit the least confident rider. There is no need to visit every lake town, particularly when the children are enjoying the pool and garden.

The move into the mountains

Drive north towards San Vigilio via the main road network and the final valley approach. We treat this as a travel day with a sensible lunch stop. A major detour to another lake or mountain pass belongs on a separate day, rather than being added automatically to the journey with luggage.

We choose the arrival and departure plan around your flights or rail connections, the car collection point and the family’s preferred pace. A morning flight home may make a final night nearer the airport worthwhile.

San Vigilio: seven nights at Excelsior

Excelsior Dolomites Life Resort provides the hotel-based half of the holiday. Use it for walks, selected mountain outings and time enjoying the resort. The family wellness areas are distinct from the adults-only Sky Spa.

Choosing the right family suite

Suite Fodara is a two-level category of approximately 55 m², but its layouts differ. One version has a parents’ living/sleeping area downstairs and twin beds upstairs; another has a different sleeping arrangement and a second bathroom. We confirm the actual layout before proposing it, rather than promise that every Fodara suite has the same beds and bathrooms.

Meals and days outdoors

Excelsior describes its arrangement as three-quarter gourmet board, not conventional full board. Your proposal explains the meals included for your dates. This makes hotel days straightforward while leaving room for a mountain-hut lunch on an outing.

Tell us whether your family enjoys easy paths, longer walks, cycling or organised activities. We select summer or early-autumn experiences around that, with time to rest between them. San Vigilio works as a settled base; you do not need to tour a different valley every day.

A proposal for your family

The final quotation specifies both accommodation layouts, breakfast at Selva Capuzza if selected, Excelsior’s board basis and the rental car terms. The car should accommodate everyone’s luggage comfortably, and the hire duration follows the actual collection and return times.

For a longer holiday, a short Verona stay can add the art-city element before or after the two weeks. We can also consider a different Garda hotel if a lakeside setting matters more than apartment independence.
