Hotel Tramonto d’Oro stands on the sea side of Via Gennaro Capriglione in central Praiano, close to San Gennaro church. Nearby bus stops connect with Positano and Amalfi, making it easy to explore without a car.

We normally arrange a private transfer from Naples airport or railway station. For days out, buses, local taxis, private drivers and seasonal boats can be combined according to the route and time of year. The hotel also provides free valet parking and an electric-car charging point, but driving is not necessary for most stays.

Cala della Gavitella and Marina di Praia are the nearest bathing areas. Reaching beaches and walking routes involves slopes and stairways; we can help you choose outings suited to your walking ability.

Praiano is also a useful starting point for the Path of the Gods and for quieter village walks. Positano and Amalfi are straightforward day trips, but the pleasure of this location lies equally in returning to Praiano for the late-afternoon light.
