Hotel Tramonto d’Oro stands on Via Gennaro Capriglione in central Praiano, directly above the main coastal road and close to the church of San Gennaro. Bus stops outside the hotel provide services towards Positano and Amalfi, placing the wider coast within reach without keeping a car.

We normally arrange a private transfer from Naples airport or railway station. For days out, buses, local taxis, private drivers and seasonal boats can be combined according to the route and time of year. The hotel also provides free valet parking and an electric-car charging point, but driving is not necessary for most stays.

Praiano’s nearest bathing areas are Cala della Gavitella and Marina di Praia. As throughout the Amalfi Coast, reaching beaches and walking routes involves slopes and stairways; comfortable shoes and realistic pacing matter more than trying to cover the coast quickly.

Praiano is also a useful starting point for the Path of the Gods and for quieter village walks. Positano and Amalfi are straightforward day trips, but the pleasure of this location lies equally in returning to Praiano for the late-afternoon light.
