Ischia Blu feels less like a conventional resort hotel and more like a small collection of private seaside homes. The apartments provide proper kitchens, living space and furnished terraces or balconies, while daily housekeeping, reception support and breakfast at the Blu Bar remove much of the work normally associated with self-catering.
Its greatest practical strength is the setting. Guests can arrive at Ischia Porto and settle in within minutes, yet the residence descends towards its own small sandy cove, solarium and compact infinity pool. Restaurants around the Riva Destra and the shops of central Ischia Porto remain within walking distance.
It works particularly well for independent couples who want more than a hotel room, as well as families or friends who need separate bedrooms and shared living space. The larger apartments make longer stays comfortable without turning the property into a conventional family resort.

You want a conventional full-service hotel with several restaurants, an on-site spa and an organised resort programme. Ischia Blu is an upmarket residence centred on apartment freedom and the sea.
WHAT MOST SHAPES THE STAY
Proper kitchens, living areas and outdoor dining space give guests the freedom to prepare simple meals, spread out and establish an easy daily rhythm.
Daily housekeeping, linen service, reception assistance and breakfast at the Blu Bar add useful hotel-style support without taking away the privacy of apartment living.
The small private sandy cove, sea-facing solarium and compact infinity pool make swimming and time by the water part of the residence rather than a separate excursion.
The ferry harbour, hydrofoil landing, bus terminus, shops and restaurants are all close by, making this one of Ischia’s simplest bases for a car-free stay.
APARTMENTS AND SUITES
The useful distinction is not simply between standard and luxury. It is how many separate bedrooms you need, whether anyone will use a sofa bed, and whether the priority is a sea view, a particularly large terrace or a private Jacuzzi. Access varies between categories, so tell us if avoiding stairs matters.
A 70 m² suite with one double bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room with a double sofa bed. A furnished terrace places the accommodation only a few metres from the sea.

LIFE AT ISCHIA BLU
Life at Ischia Blu is deliberately uncomplicated. Most days move naturally between breakfast by the sea, time on the solarium, swimming from the cove or pool, and an evening meal either on the apartment terrace or around Ischia Porto.
Guests have direct access to the residence’s own equipped sandy cove, allowing sea bathing without travelling to another beach or organising a separate beach club.
The infinity pool is suited to cooling off and enjoying the view rather than extensive swimming. Its position beside the sea keeps the water and solarium areas closely connected.
Sea-facing sun terraces provide loungers and open views across the bay, giving guests an alternative to the small sandy cove and their private apartment terrace.
The Blu Bar serves continental and à la carte breakfast, followed by snacks, aperitivi and drinks. For fuller meals, guests can cook in their apartment or walk to the restaurants around Ischia Porto.
ISCHIA PORTO
Ischia Blu Resort is in Ischia Porto, approximately 100 metres from the ferry landing and 300 metres from the hydrofoil terminal. For most guests, arrival consists of a short walk from the port rather than a separate island transfer.
The harbour’s bus terminus is also nearby, providing connections around the island. The Riva Destra restaurant area is a short walk away, while Corso Vittoria Colonna, Ischia Porto’s principal shopping and evening promenade, can be reached in about ten minutes on foot.
A car is unnecessary. Buses and taxis cover places such as Ischia Ponte, Forio, Lacco Ameno, the botanical gardens and the main thermal parks. We can also incorporate private transfers or excursions when they improve the day rather than relying on them for every journey.
Although Ischia Blu does not have its own thermal spa, reception can assist with treatments or visits to nearby thermal facilities.

Four nights is a sensible minimum, while five to seven nights allows the apartment format to become genuinely useful. Ischia Blu works best after a more active mainland stay: sightseeing comes first, followed by sea bathing, thermal days and a more independent daily rhythm.
Naples or Sorrento can each create a logical sequence. What should not be compressed into a short holiday is Rome, Naples, Sorrento and Ischia together; too many moves would undermine the value of settling into an apartment.
Begin with two or three nights in Naples for archaeology, museums, food and neighbourhood life. Continue by hydrofoil to Ischia Porto, where the residence is only a short walk from the landing.
