Four guests, with two proper doubles
The rooming works naturally for a small family, one couple or two couples. Both bedrooms are doubles; one has an en-suite shower room and the other uses a separate shower room.
Private pool villa near San Lorenzo beach
A well-planned two-bedroom villa for couples or a small family, combining a large private pool with San Lorenzo’s sandy beach about 400 metres away.
ExpertoItaly opinion
Villa Amalia’s main advantage is the balance between beach and private space. San Lorenzo’s sandy shore is approximately 400 metres away, while the villa has a substantial saltwater pool, broad terraces and a 2,000 m² Mediterranean garden.
The house is arranged entirely on the ground floor, with two double bedrooms and two shower rooms. Marzamemi is close enough for an evening meal by car, while Vendicari, Noto and Siracusa provide a strong range of days out without changing base.
Best for: one family of four, a couple wanting more privacy than a hotel, honeymooners, or two couples comfortable with one en-suite and one separate shower room. It is not designed for two families or guests expecting restaurants within a few minutes’ walk.

The 12 × 4 metre saltwater pool is the focus of the villa’s generous outdoor space.

Terraces, a pergola and established planting make outdoor living central to the stay.
Before you choose it
The rooming works naturally for a small family, one couple or two couples. Both bedrooms are doubles; one has an en-suite shower room and the other uses a separate shower room.
San Lorenzo’s sandy and rocky shores are approximately 400 metres away. Guests can use a reserved shaded relaxation area on the beach, but the villa is not beachfront and does not have direct or private beach access.
A delicatessen is about 700 metres away, but Marzamemi’s restaurants, shops and services are approximately 3 km from the villa. Private parking is provided within the grounds.
The saltwater pool measures 12 × 4 metres and ranges from 0.30 to 1.40 metres deep. No fencing is confirmed, so families with young children still need close supervision.
Bedrooms and bathrooms

First double bedroom
One double bedroom has its own en-suite shower room. Like the rest of the accommodation, it is on the ground floor and has air conditioning and a mosquito net.

Second double bedroom
The second bedroom is also a proper double and uses the villa’s separate shower room. The arrangement is practical for a family of four and workable for two couples who do not require equal en-suite facilities.
At the villa
Villa Amalia is compact inside but unusually generous outdoors for a two-bedroom villa, making relaxed days at home easy to protect within a week of sightseeing.

The 12 × 4 metre saltwater pool has a shallow section, a maximum depth of 1.40 metres and surrounding space for sun loungers.

A pergola, outdoor lounge and dining area support lunches, evenings and time outside away from the strongest sun.

Approximately 200 m² of private terraces sit within a 2,000 m² Mediterranean garden, giving four guests plenty of room around the house.

The kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven, microwave, gas hob, fridge, freezer, ice maker and several coffee-making options.

The living room, kitchen, bedrooms and shower rooms are all on the ground floor, with an easy flow between the interior and terraces.

Air conditioning in every room, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and private parking make the villa straightforward for a week by the coast.
Amenities at a glance

Location
San Lorenzo’s sandy and rocky shores are approximately 400 metres away. A local delicatessen is within walking distance, while Marzamemi is about 3 km from the villa for restaurants, shops and an evening around the harbour.
Vendicari Nature Reserve and Noto are natural short outings; Siracusa and Ragusa work as fuller cultural days. A car is essential for dining and sightseeing, but the villa allows beach time without having to drive every day.

A private garden setting about 400 metres from San Lorenzo’s beaches.
From the villa
Villa Amalia works best when beach and pool days are protected rather than crowded out. Choose a small number of purposeful outings and leave time to enjoy the setting.
Coastal evening
Marzamemi is close enough for dinner and a walk around the harbour. It is most rewarding when treated as an evening destination rather than a rushed sightseeing stop.
Baroque town
Noto is about 20 km away. Visit early or later in the afternoon during summer, leaving the hottest part of the day for the coast or the villa.
Nature and coast
Vendicari is for coastal walking, birdlife and open landscapes. Take suitable footwear and water, then keep a separate session for swimming at San Lorenzo.
City and archaeology
Siracusa is far enough to deserve a properly planned day combining Ortigia and one main archaeological focus, rather than adding it casually to another outing.
