Villa Janni’s defining strength is the uninterrupted coastal panorama from the pool, terraces and principal bedroom. The 12 × 5 metre pool is considerably more substantial than the plunge pools found at many hillside villas, so relaxed days at the property feel like a genuine part of the holiday.
The position above Letojanni also gives useful privacy while keeping the beach, Taormina, Mount Etna and the Alcantara Gorges within reach by car. This is not a walk-to-town villa: the views and seclusion come with the need to drive.
Best for: one family with older children or teenagers, two compatible families that accept the uneven bedroom and bathroom arrangement, or a two-generation group without mobility restrictions. It is less suitable for young children because the pool is 1.60 metres deep throughout.

Before you choose it
The villa works particularly well for one family with older children or teenagers. Two families can share it successfully, provided they do not expect four equivalent bedrooms or a private bathroom for every room.
Three rooms have 160 cm double beds; the fourth has a 140 cm French double. Two bedrooms have private bathrooms, while the remaining two share a separate shower room on the ground floor.
Letojanni beach is approximately 2 km away, while shops, banks and restaurants are around 4 km from the villa. The property is a private driving base for the coast, Taormina and Etna rather than a walkable resort stay.
The pool is 1.60 metres deep throughout, with no shallow section. The grounds are arranged over different levels and the principal suite is reached by a spiral or external staircase, so the villa does not suit every young family or guest with reduced mobility.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Principal suite
The first floor has a 160 × 200 cm double bedroom, a private terrace and an en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower. It is reached internally by the spiral staircase or by an external staircase.
Ground-floor bedrooms
One 160 × 200 cm double has an en-suite shower room. A second 160 × 200 cm double and the 140 × 200 cm French double share a separate shower room, making the arrangement better for a family than for four equal couples.
Time at the villa
Villa Janni is at its best when the group leaves space in the itinerary for the pool, terraces and long views along the coast.
The private pool measures 12 × 5 metres and is open throughout the year. Its uniform depth of 1.60 metres makes it best for confident swimmers.
Approximately 300 m² of terraces include covered and open-air seating, giving the group several places to read, talk or sit with the sea in view.
The veranda, barbecue and outdoor tables make breakfast and relaxed meals easy without giving up the coastal setting.
The proper kitchen has a five-burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and espresso machine. A cook can be requested at an additional charge.
The main living and dining room opens towards the veranda. The bold, eclectic decoration is more individual than minimalist, while the glass doors keep the outside close.
The villa sits within approximately 500 m² of established Mediterranean garden, with private parking inside the property and terraces arranged over several levels.

Location
Villa Janni occupies a panoramic hillside position above Letojanni. The sandy beach is approximately 2 km away, while the resort’s wider choice of shops, banks and restaurants is around 4 km from the property. The setting feels private, but it is not isolated from the practicalities of a family holiday.
Taormina is approximately 10 km away, with Isola Bella and Mazzarò even closer. In the other direction, the Alcantara Gorges, Etna villages and the volcano add active and landscape-led days. The villa therefore works well for a week that alternates sightseeing and beaches with time beside the pool.

Villa Janni works best when coast and pool time are balanced with a small number of purposeful excursions. These guides help you decide what each day should contain—and what not to combine.
Town and coast
The Greek Theatre, Corso Umberto and the gardens deserve proper time. Plan the visit around parking and summer heat, then add Mazzarò or Isola Bella only if the pace still feels comfortable.
Volcanic landscape
From this side of Sicily, Etna can mean a cable-car day, a guided geological walk, villages, wine or food. Choose one principal focus rather than trying to fit the whole volcano into a single excursion.
Active nature
The gorge can be a scenic visit or a more active river experience. Age, confidence in water, conditions and the exact booked activity matter, particularly for families travelling with children or teenagers.
City and food
Catania adds markets, lava-stone Baroque and a completely different rhythm from the villa. Treat it as a cultural and food-led day rather than only the airport city.
