Mike Girling (No nickname)16 June 2026Just back from another delightful holiday organised from start to finish by the Italian "Expert" Antonio. After several discussions with him we decided to have an eleven day trip to the Amalfi coast and Ischia and thanks to his intimate knowledge of the area we had a most enjoyable and memorable time. Ischia in particular was absolutely wonderful. Antonios advice on the boutique hotels, guided tours, and places to visit were exemplary as were the drivers he booked to ferry us around. In addition to all the knowledge and advice he provides, this time, we encountered a couple of problems of our own making, but a quick WhatsApp to Antonio and within 24 hours both problems were solved. Our holiday was seamless and exceeded all our expectations, and I would highly recommend Antonio / Expert to Italy for all your holiday planning and needs. From the point of choosing destinations, Antonio was collaborative and listened to everything on our wishlist . The towns he chose for us were exactly the places that we loved .. off the beaten track, charming and authentic Italy ! He picked our accomodation and again there was a lot of collaboration over our needs and we loved the choices . The tours he organised were exceptional. I wanted to see wildflowers and orchids and he engaged experts to take me around the national parks . I would never have been able to source the contacts and organise the excursions as perfectly as it was done . Some of the best moments of our travels , ever! Transfers were professional and seamless. Antonio remained fully contactable throughout our trip for questions , help and any details we needed. We felt fully secure and confident that we had an agent travelling along with us at every step! It was a huge benefit as well having him in the rough time zones as Italy where he is based in the UK, so that any questions were promptly answered and sorted . This could have been more problematic if we had engaged someone from home in Australia with the big difference in time zones . He arranged our three centre Italian holiday, booked all train tickets, taxis and hotels and suggested places we wouldn't have thought of. You can have an independent holiday without problems, even in a less touristy area, because he's organised everyone for you and he's a back up if anything goes wrong. We had a couple of interactions with Antonio, and were very fast to close on our itinerary and hotels. Everyting was very well organized and suitable to our requirements. Antonio chose very good accommodations: small beautiful, full of character and well located. He also booked our bus trips as we did not want to rent a car. That worked really well. David Wise12 August 2025Antonio was really helpful in planning our trip to Italy. We wanted to visit 3 locations, he provided recommendations on accomodations which were great - really good locations for each booking. He also coordinated taxis and trains and provided a load of suggestions for each location for places to eat and sites to visit. He was readily available to answer any questions we had by email or WhatsApp. His assistance really helped us in planning this trip and saved us a lot of stress in trying to coordinate this ourselves. All in all we had a great holiday

The beach at your garden gate
A morning dip, sandy afternoons and lunch on the terrace come easily at Villa Nemo. The garden opens directly onto a fine sandy beach, while the upper terrace looks out across the water.
Each floor has two bedrooms, a shower room and its own kitchen. Families or friends can share beach days and meals while keeping separate living spaces. An external spiral staircase connects the two floors; there is no internal connection.
Space to share: two families, grandparents or friends can enjoy the beach together and their own space indoors. A four-person option is also available, using only the ground floor.

The garden gate opens onto the sand, making the beach the focus of the stay.
The upper floor has separate outside access, while the villa sits immediately behind the beach.
Planning your stay
The details for your beach holiday
Two separate floors
Each floor has two bedrooms, a shower room and a kitchen, giving different parts of the group their own space. The ground floor can also be booked on its own for four.
An external spiral staircase
The first floor is reached by an external spiral staircase. This needs consideration for guests with reduced mobility or families with young children moving between floors.
Sand and sea on the doorstep
The sandy beach is about 20 metres from the house, reached through the garden. There is no swimming pool.
Exploring by car
Donnalucata’s shops and restaurants are about 3 km away. Bring a car for shopping, evenings out and visits to Scicli, Modica and Ragusa; parking is in front of the house.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Four bedrooms divided between two floors
The self-contained ground floor
The ground floor has a living and dining room, a separate kitchen, two double bedrooms and a shower room. Book this floor on its own for a four-person stay.
Sea views, with separate outside access
Upstairs are a double bedroom, a twin, a shower room and a second kitchen. The terrace and double bedroom have sea views. Access is by the external spiral staircase.
Time at the villa
Beach days with two places to live
Swim in the morning, come home for lunch and wander back to the sand in the afternoon. Two terraces and separate kitchens make it easy for everyone to enjoy their own pace.
Direct beach access
The path through the garden reaches the fine sandy beach in approximately 20 metres, without driving into Donnalucata or crossing the village.
First-floor sea terrace
The upper terrace is the villa's best outdoor space, with a dining table and an open view across the beach and sea.
Ground-floor dining
The covered ground-floor terrace gives the lower accommodation its own place for breakfast and meals outside, with the external staircase visible beside it.
Two kitchens
Each floor has a kitchen with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge and freezer. The two independent set-ups are practical when families or generations want different routines.
Separate living areas
The ground-floor living and dining room is the larger communal area. The first floor has its own compact kitchen and dining space, allowing the group to spread out.
Garden and outdoor shower
The approximately 200 m² garden provides a green buffer between the house and the sand. An outdoor shower is useful after the beach.

Location
On the beach between Donnalucata and the Baroque south-east
Villa Nemo stands directly behind the beach outside Donnalucata, on the coast below Scicli. Spend the day between garden and sand, then drive into the village for a meal or fresh supplies.
