Getting There

Medmar ferry sailing across the Gulf of Naples towards Ischia.
 

Getting there: take fast hydrofoils from Naples (Molo Beverello) or ferries from Naples (Porta di Massa) and Pozzuoli to Ischia Porto/Casamicciola/Forio—then bus or taxi to Poseidon Gardens.

 

From within Ischia

Bus (EAV) to “Citara / Poseidon” stop

Frequent buses run from Ischia Porto → Casamicciola → Lacco Ameno → Forio → Citara. Look for the circular routes CS (anticlockwise) and CD (clockwise), plus local Forio routes.

From Ischia Porto allow 35–50 mins (traffic-dependent); from Forio centre about 10 mins. Buy/validate tickets at tabacchi/newsstands, machines, or the EAV app. In summer, go early to beat bus crowds.

Day trip from Naples

Hydrofoil (fast) – Molo Beverello

Foot-passenger hydrofoils to Ischia Porto (some sailings also to Forio/Casamicciola). Typical crossing 50–70 mins. From the port, bus or taxi to Poseidon (25–40 mins).

Sample flow: 08:20 hydrofoil → 09:20 Ischia Porto → 09:35 taxi/bus → 10:15 Poseidon (full-day soak) → 18:00 bus to port → 19:00 hydrofoil back to Naples.
