The ExpertoItaly view

A spacious suite in the heart of Renaissance Urbino

Palazzo Giusti makes the accommodation part of the cultural visit. Restored ceilings, individual architectural details and unusually generous suites give you somewhere rewarding to return between visits to the Ducal Palace, cathedral and museums.

Its small scale suits couples who appreciate historic interiors and want to enjoy Urbino on foot. The spa adds another reason to leave an afternoon free. Breakfast is included at a nearby pastry shop in the historic centre.

Our starting point: Two or three nights in a named suite chosen for its decoration, outlook and bed arrangement.

Planning your stay

Is Palazzo Giusti right for you?

Best for

Art, architecture and an occasion

Couples who will enjoy the suite itself as well as the city. The individual interiors provide tangible reasons to choose an upgrade.

Atmosphere

An intimate historic residence

Five suites give the property a different scale from a conventional full-service hotel. We confirm arrival assistance and service arrangements.

Transport

Urbino without a car

Stay centrally and explore on foot, with arranged transfers for arrival, departure and selected outings.

Access

Gradients and restricted streets

Urbino is hilly and the palazzo is in a pedestrian area. We check internal access, luggage handling and the complete route for mobility needs.

Rooms and suites

Choose a named suite, with its own character

The five suites range from 55 to 84 m². Some look towards the Cesane hills; others face the city or courtyard. Space, decoration and outlook vary meaningfully.

For space and hill views

Guidobaldo del Monte · 84 m²

Historic stucco and a contemporary sleeping alcove, with views towards the Cesane hills. A strong occasion-led choice; accommodates up to three.

For additional guests

Bernardino Baldi · 68 m²

Hill views and a decorative fireplace. Its four-person capacity uses two French double beds within one large room, rather than separate bedrooms.

For Renaissance decoration

Federico Commandino · 72 m²

Sixteenth-century ceiling decoration and frieze, with a bath and shower. Our starting point for couples most interested in the historic interiors.

For twin beds

Federico Brandani · 78 m²

A decorated ceiling and historic fireplace, with double or twin beds. A particularly useful choice when separate beds matter.

For contemporary space

Muzio Oddi · 55 m²

A bright, more contemporary open-plan suite overlooking the street and Piazza della Repubblica. Choose it for its particular style and city outlook.

Breakfast

Start at a local pastry shop

Breakfast is included in the room rate and served at a nearby pastry shop in Urbino’s historic centre.

Wellness

A spa within the building’s older layers

Vaulted brick spaces and archaeological remains form the setting for bio sauna, Turkish bath, infrared and hydromassage facilities. The circuit is advertised as two hours and admission is for guests over 16; inclusions are confirmed.

Dining

The palazzo’s bistrot

The on-site bistrot serves seasonal dishes and welcomes outside guests as well as residents. We check its opening days for your stay; Urbino’s other restaurants are also close by.

Location and getting around

Central Urbino, with the arrival planned for you

The cathedral and Ducal Palace are close enough to explore at different times of day. Stay for the quieter morning streets, a museum visit and dinner in town, with time to return to your suite between them.

The property recommends Borgo Mercatale parking, around 500 metres away, with a taxi for luggage; a public lift connects the parking area and historic centre. We arrange the transfer or provide parking and unloading instructions. A car is useful for wider Montefeltro touring, but unnecessary for Urbino itself.

A practical pace

Two or three nights work naturally here. Within ten to fourteen nights, give the longer stay to the coast or countryside. Nearby Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo is usually an alternative base, unless you specifically want both city and estate experiences.
