Palazzo dei Mercanti earns its place through location. Stay just behind Piazza del Popolo and you can explore early, return to your room during the afternoon and go out again for dinner without organising transport. That freedom is a considerable part of its appeal.
The former convent retains travertine architecture and a cloister colonnade, while the bedrooms are contemporary. Seta Spa adds somewhere to unwind after sightseeing. We see it primarily as a cultural stay, with the city providing most of the interest and the spa complementing it.
Our starting point: Three or four nights, starting with a Deluxe room and an explicitly included spa session if you would enjoy one.

Piazza del Popolo and the city on your doorstep
The central address makes this an easy place to enjoy without a car. Our Ascoli guide introduces the squares, architecture and local food that give the stay its purpose. Longer stays can include a planned excursion to Offida or the Piceno wine country.
If driving, arrange unloading, parking and any valet service before arrival; historic-centre access needs precise instructions. For a car-free journey, we can organise station or airport transfers and private transport for countryside outings.
