In the know

Breathtaking walks

The Amalfi Coast is famous all over the world for its natural beauty, so we could only put an excursion on the Path of the Gods in first position among the things to do. You will walk for about two hours on the mountain profile of the coast enjoying a landscape that fills the soul with beauty.

Ride along the Amalfi Coast and around Ischia by scooter

Rent a scooter! It will allow you not only to move easily along the coast but to whiz up and down the towns admiring all the kaleodoscopic colors of a crazy panorama that every time opens up differently depending on where you are.

Sunset aperitif

Make a stop at the Bar Del Sole. The best known bar in Praiano, owes its name to the sun that kisses it until sunset.

Gourmet souvenirs

The must stop for the gourmand is Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, where the Michelin starred chef Alfonso Iaccarino has its organic farm, Le Peracciole: seven hectares overlooking the sea planted with vegetable gardens, lemons, olive trees.

The olive harvest here is done by hand, with baskets and nets. The extra virgin Penisola Sorrentina DOP is among the finest in Italy and, together with limoncello, is a true local icon.

A SPA session

Ischia is above all relaxation, even better if there are two of you. There are many possibilities to spend hours together in the sauna, turkish bath and thermal baths.

Head to the Poseidon Thermal Gardens, a unique and suggestive park, overlooking the bay of Citara. Inside, you will find over twenty thermal water pools surrounded by greenery, steam caves, sea water pools and a private beach.

Beautiful views from Path of the Gods
Le Peracciole Farm

Day 1-8: Sorrento Coast

Your holiday starts from Naples airport where a private, air-conditioned car will take you on the one-hour journey to Sant'Agata sui due Golfi where you will stay for the first week.

The town's name translates as ''on the two gulfs'' as it stands above the Sorrento Peninsula in between Sorrento and Positano. Sant'Agata is just above Sorrento to which you can walk down in about 40 minutes. Positano, Amalfi and everything in between can be reached with one scenic bus journey.

So close and different, both wonderful: the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts are like two sides of a perfect coin. On the one hand, respectively, one of the most romantic coasts in the world with its villages with colorful houses overlooking the sea that have become an icon of the Dolce Vita, on the other a wild and authentic coast, with its small fishing villages and spectacles of nature that revolve around Sorrento.

Many still confuse them, but they have a very precise boundary: the Amalfi Coast is to the south, in the province of Salerno, and goes from Positano to Vietri, touching 13 municipalities declared UNESCO World Heritage, while that of Sorrento, in the province of Naples, it goes from Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi up to Vico Equense and Castellammare.

All this happens just a step away from Capri, Pompeii and a world-class city like Naples: history, art, gastronomy and sunny-square people-watching are bound up in one neat package.

Your Hotel

Stay at the Relais Oasi Olimpia, this is a luxury boutique hotel a few steps to the charming and lively town centre. Facilities include a pool, a tennis court and a gourmet restaurant.

The views are just incredible.

From down-to-earth agriturismo to upmarket Michelin stars, Sant'Agata sui due Golfi is easily the Amalfi Coast's best place for eating and drinking.

Day 8-15: Ischia

Our driver will take you the port of Sorrento where you will board the hydrofoil to Ischia. On the island, you will be met and driven to the Botania Relais & Spa in Ischia.

The island is an outdoor beauty farm, dotted with dozens of thermal gardens where you can relax among hot water pools and whirlpools surrounded by an amazing nature.

A real must are the renowned Poseidon Gardens: 22 pools with waters up to 40 ° with beneficial healing properties.

For history lovers, a stop at the fifteenth-century Aragonese Castle built on an islet of magma is a must and for those who love adventure, a climb on Mount Epomeo is recommended, a volcano dotted with tuff hermitages and paths with panoramic sceneries.

Furthermore, walking through the alleys that connect the towns of the island, it is not uncommon to come across white clayey rocks exhaling jets of sulphurous steam to be inhaled.

A swim in the suggestive beach of Nitrodi, in Barano, famous for its dermatological virtues, will immediately make your hair and skin more beautiful.

For gourmands it will not be difficult to find refreshment for their palates, savoring the red tomatoes grown under the scorching sun of Ischia; grazing game in the wild or the renowned blue fish which the ancient Romans already ate.

From the Piazza della Chiesa del Soccorso in Forio, it is possible to admire postcard sunsets, with a view of the famous Lacco Ameno mushroom and the Bay of Sorgeto where water flows at 75 °.

Pure relaxation, on the other hand, is what will give you a visit to the Mortella Botanical Garden, full of tropical plants or diving into the waters of the Maronti  beach, two kilometres of sand, spring water, diving & swimming.

Finally, for romantics, how not to opt fo Sant’Angelo, a small harbor and ancient fishing village, a VIP landing place for luxury yachts.

While for the fashion-victims, a trip to Casamicciola for the nightlife and one to Ischia Porto is a must, among glam shop windows, historic hotels and VIPs from around the world.

Your Hotel

The Botania Relais & Spa is in a strategic position: it is easy to reach both the thermal baths and the beach, a few hundred meters away, as well as the other renowned places on the island.

Relax in the Jacuzzi on the terrace surrounded by a landscape as colourful as any artist’s palette! The colorful Vietri tiles are the backdrop to the refined furnishings and in full harmony with the surrounding nature.
