Four doubles and one twin
Three double bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. A fourth double sits beside the bathroom with a bath, while the twin has its own shower room. It is an excellent family layout, but not five identical double rooms.
Seaside family villa in Fontane Bianche
A spacious, design-led five-bedroom villa with a heated saltwater pool and tropical garden, set just 200 metres from the sandy beach at Fontane Bianche near Syracuse.
ExpertoItaly opinion
Villa Buona solves a common problem for larger families: it combines genuine walk-to-beach convenience with enough garden, pool and indoor space for ten guests to live comfortably. Fontane Bianche is a practical seaside base rather than an isolated rural setting, with a delicatessen 200 metres away, a restaurant within 400 metres and everyday services in Cassibile.
The house is arranged entirely on the ground floor. Its original 1960s character has been refreshed by a French interior designer, retaining terrazzo floors and generous proportions while adding bold colour, contemporary furniture and five modern bathrooms. The result is more individual than a conventional holiday villa, but still easy to use.
Best for: two families, a multigenerational family or a mixed group who value beach proximity, a substantial pool and straightforward access to Syracuse and Noto.

Worth knowing before you book
Three double bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. A fourth double sits beside the bathroom with a bath, while the twin has its own shower room. It is an excellent family layout, but not five identical double rooms.
The heated saltwater pool measures 12 × 4 metres and ranges from 0.40 to 2.20 metres deep. The shallow end is useful for younger swimmers, while children and non-swimmers still need close supervision.
The sandy beach and nearest delicatessen are around 200 metres away, with a restaurant within 400 metres. A car remains useful for larger shops and for exploring Syracuse, Noto and the coast.
All bedrooms and the principal living spaces are on the ground floor, which keeps daily life simple. The garden and pool area have changes of level, so the property should not be assumed to be fully step-free.
Bedrooms and bathrooms

Five bedrooms
Three double bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. A fourth double uses the separate bathroom with a bath, while the twin bedroom has its own en-suite shower room. This is a practical family arrangement rather than five identical double rooms.

Five bathrooms
Four bedrooms have private shower rooms and the fifth bathroom includes a bath. Midweek bedroom and bathroom cleaning, together with a linen and towel change, is included in the stay.
Time at the villa
Villa Buona works particularly well when the group wants genuine beach access without giving up a substantial pool, generous living space or the practicalities needed for ten guests.

The 12 × 4 metre saltwater pool sits within a 2,000 m² garden, with loungers, an outdoor shower and room for different generations to settle into their own rhythm.

A substantial terrace and sheltered dining areas support everything from breakfast after a swim to a longer evening meal prepared by a private cook.

Generous proportions, terrazzo floors, contemporary art and bold colour give the interiors more personality than a conventional seaside rental.

Two fridges, two dishwashers, a freezer, oven, microwave, espresso machine and ice maker make this a genuinely workable self-catering kitchen.

The sandy beach is close enough for an uncomplicated morning swim or an easy return to the villa, without having to organise the car for every visit.

A four-hour clean of the bedrooms and bathrooms, together with fresh bed linen, bath towels and pool towels, is included midway through the stay.
Villa amenities
Location
Villa Buona is in Fontane Bianche, a seaside resort around 14 kilometres south of Syracuse. Its sandy beach, a delicatessen and a nearby restaurant are all within walking distance, making ordinary villa days unusually straightforward.
With a car, this is a practical base for Ortygia and the archaeological sights of Syracuse, the baroque centre of Noto and the coast towards Vendicari and Marzamemi. The approach is residential rather than remote, which is part of the convenience.

A seaside position for combining beach time with Syracuse and the baroque south-east.
From the villa
Villa Buona works best when beach and pool days are balanced with a small number of purposeful excursions. These ideas help you decide what each day should contain and what is better left for another visit.
Syracuse
Syracuse is close enough for more than one visit. Use one day for the Greek theatre and archaeological park, then return for Ortygia's lanes, waterfront and evening atmosphere.
Baroque towns
At 18 kilometres away, Noto is the natural first baroque outing. Go early or later in the day, then add a meal, a granita stop or a short detour through the surrounding countryside.
Nature
Vendicari suits a gentler day of coastal walking, birdlife and beach time. Cavagrande is more demanding and heat-sensitive, so choose it only when conditions and the group are right.
Coastal route
Combine a coastal drive with the fishing-village lanes and waterfront at Marzamemi. It works particularly well as a late-afternoon and evening outing rather than a rushed midday visit.
