Meet the Experts

ExpertoItaly designs thoughtfully planned Italian holidays that feel unhurried and unmistakably yours. We specialise in multi-centre, rail-first itineraries that make logistics seamless—pairing art cities with lakes and coast, garden visits with scenic trains, and stays where you’re greeted by name.

What sets us apart isn’t a checklist. It’s precision: the right town for your rhythm, the right room for the view, the right train to glide in before aperitivo. We keep things small, curated and personal—so your trip feels made for you, because it is.

How we work

Tailored planning — Trips shaped around how you like to move (rail, boat, funicular, on foot), with just-right pacing.

Trusted stays — Independent hotels and B&Bs with charm, character and warm hospitality.

Seamless logistics — Land-only packages from arrival in Italy: private transfers, rail tickets and seat reservations, car hire where it adds value, timed entries and hand-picked experiences.

On-trip care — Direct support throughout your holiday for tweaks, tips and last-minute ideas on WhatsApp.

Beyond Itineraries – Comprehensive Travel Services

Born in Turin with the Alps on the doorstep, I learned Italy by moving through it—ski chalets in winter, seaside towns in summer, and hundreds of journeys in between. After two decades in travel, I founded ExpertoItaly so travellers could experience Italy as locals do: the right tempo, the right places, the telling details.

I split my time between Italy and London, where I live with my daughter. Each return reminds me why Italy captivates: world-class art and archaeology, layers of history, mountain-to-sea landscapes, and a food culture that still belongs to its regions. My best days are when a client says the trip felt effortless—and that a small suggestion became their favourite memory.

A quiet favourite: Pisciotta on the Cilento coast—magnificent beaches, sincere hospitality, and Marulivo Hotel, a former monastery with views that reset your day. Stay a week and you’ll be on first-name terms with half the village.

Vittorio Sciosia — Photographer & Researcher

A quick tip from me: shoot in the hour after sunrise or before sunset—the golden light brings depth and softness whether you’re by the sea, in the mountains or in the city.

I’m ExpertoItaly’s eyes on the ground. I photograph Italy’s hotels, villages and landscapes—from five-star retreats to family-run B&Bs—and I pair the images with real field research.

I scout independent stays, check room categories and views, test travel flows by rail and boat, and note the cafés, gardens, viewpoints and small museums that give a place its texture.

My aim is simple: to give Antonio precise, first-hand detail so your itinerary feels effortless and authentically local.

My job also takes me around the world and you can follow all my travels on www.vittoriosciosia.com
