Location and transport

One of Sorrento’s most useful car-free positions

Bellevue Syrene overlooks the Gulf from Piazza della Vittoria, immediately beside Sorrento’s historic centre.

Restaurants, shops and Piazza Tasso are accessible on foot. Sorrento station is also walkable for EAV services towards Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples, although the route is not a doorstep connection.

Marina Piccola sits below the town level. Ferries can make Capri, Positano and Amalfi practical seasonal outings, but reaching the port involves Sorrento’s normal lift, steps or gradients. Timetables and sea conditions must always be checked for the actual dates.

A private arrival transfer is usually the most comfortable solution. Once at Bellevue Syrene, a car is rarely helpful: local traffic, parking and the availability of trains, ferries and organised excursions make this a naturally car-free stay.
