⛪ La Chiesetta di San Donino: Likely the oldest church in the Desenzano area, this small yet robust Romanesque chapel dates back to at least the 13th century—possibly earlier.

Its austere, fortress-like proportions and splayed windows mark it as a relic of medieval Lombard architecture. The church remained a centre of local worship until the 1960s and is still consecrated and occasionally officiated today. Rich in history, San Donino was already referred to as a "vecchia pieve" in 1541 and once served as the parish seat for the region.

Documented visits and frescoes dating as far back as 1495 add to its quiet mystique, while its role during Lombardy’s religious and rural evolution is captured in Le Chiese dimenticate by Giuseppe Tosi.
