Relais Oasi Olimpia occupies an 1892 villa in approximately 22,000 square metres of private grounds above Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, with views towards Vesuvius, the Bay of Naples and, from the highest outlooks, the Gulf of Salerno.

We recommend it for couples who enjoy quiet mornings and a welcoming place to return to after exploring Sorrento, Capri or the Amalfi Coast. Food is a particular pleasure here, from produce grown in the organic garden to Mediterranean dinners and hands-on classes at the long-established cooking school.

Sant'Agata's central square, restaurants and everyday shops are around 500 metres away. Stroll into the village for a coffee or dinner, then return to the calm of the gardens. For days further afield, we can arrange transfers and excursions or include a hire car.

Choose between a car and planned transfers

Free parking makes a car practical for independent exploration, but it is not essential for every stay. Private transfers, local taxis and pre-arranged touring work well for guests who prefer not to drive on the peninsula's busier roads.

Balance touring with time at the hotel

Mix visits to Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii or the Amalfi Coast with afternoons by the pool and dinners in the garden. Five to seven nights give you time to enjoy both.

A village base with Sorrento and the coast within reach

Relais Oasi Olimpia stands on Via Deserto, above the centre of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi. The village square, bars, restaurants and supermarket are approximately 500 metres away, as is the nearest bus stop. Sorrento is around 7 kilometres away, with its railway station and port providing onward connections.

The name Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi reflects the village's position on the ridge between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. Nearby Il Deserto is one of the most rewarding viewpoints: from this high ground the geography of the peninsula becomes immediately clear.

Guests arriving without a car can use a private transfer from Naples and combine walking into the village with taxis, buses and arranged excursions. A car gives greater independence for Massa Lubrense, Nerano and quieter walking areas, and the hotel has complimentary parking; for the busiest Amalfi Coast days, a driver or boat can be the more relaxing solution.

Capri can be approached by ferry from Sorrento or as a privately arranged boat day. Sorrento, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast are all realistic excursions, while walks around Il Deserto, Termini, Punta Campanella and the wider Massa Lubrense countryside offer a quieter counterpoint.

A restful peninsula stay between Naples and Ischia

Allow four nights for village life, the gardens and a day exploring the peninsula. Five to seven nights leave more time for Capri, Pompeii or the Amalfi Coast, with leisurely afternoons by the pool in between.
